Audi’s first fully electric vehicle, the Audi e-tron is set to hit our roads in 2019 and images of the (as of the time of writing) Audi e-tron quattro concept give us a glimpse of the future of electric Audi design. A spacious, cool grey interior, with gradient colour hues and fine Nappa leather provide a sophisticated driving space whilst touch displays, fully digital instruments and curved displays ensure a futuristic feel throughout. Although full details of this vehicle are yet to be announced, this official concept offers efficient, sporty, yet practical everyday driving over a range of up to 310 miles.
Three powerful electric motors and over 800Nm of torque, powering both the front and rear axle, equate to a 0-62mph time of just 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. Solar cells in the roof feed the battery but a 150kW charging station will offer a full charge in just 50 minutes.
This brand-new model is set to revolutionise the Audi line-up and is the first completely electric vehicle on offer; the A3 Sportback e-tron and Q7 e-tron currently available are hybrids matching an electric motor with a 150PS TFSI engine and 258PS TDI engine respectively.
Further fully electric vehicles are expected to follow the e-tron’s arrival in due course so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for all e-news from Audi. For full details of this concept car, please click HERE to head to Audi’s website.
