Audi have announced plans to add two further Q models to the line-up, following the success of the brilliant Q2 SUV last year.
From 2018 production will begin on the brand new Q8 in 2018 and the Q4 in 2019.
The Q8 concept was first introduced at the North American International Auto Show this year and is designed to offer the space of an SUV with the classic styling of a Coupe. Inside, the concept vehicle offered a range of touchscreens and a larger version of the Audi Virtual Cockpit.
Dietmar Voggenreiter, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG commented, “It demonstrates the strengths of our brand in both technology and design while providing a glimpse at a future full-size, production SUV. With its next-generation display and control solutions, we are enabling customers to experience connectivity in a whole new way.”
The new Q4 will arrive in the CUV sector, (or Compact Utility Vehicle). Also featuring that sleek coupe-like styling the model will arrive to sit, as expected, between the Q3 and Q5 models currently on offer. The Q4 has taken inspiration from the brand’s previous sporty TT Offroad concept model, which was unveiled at the 2014 Beijing motor show, and so we imagine the vehicle to stand out amongst the much boxier styled Q3 and Q5 models.
Although both still very much under wraps at the moment, we can’t wait to reveal full details and specifications of these new models over the course of the year. Keep an eye on our website and social media where we will be updating you as soon as we can.
