Bentley Cambridge are now officially certified Carbon Neutral

11.02.2022

We wanted to share some fantastic news about our journey towards a more sustainable future. All Bentley UK retailers, including Bentley Cambridge, are now officially certified to the Carbon Neutral PAS 2060 Standard by the Carbon Trust.

It’s a monumental moment for our Beyond100 mission and is the result of lots of small steps being taken. We have more to do but it’s a significant achievement for our ambition to be end-to-end carbon neutral by 2030.

Being at the forefront of progress is part of the Bentley DNA and we’re proud to join the Crewe factory, which was awarded this status in 2019, as officially certified to the Carbon Neutral PAS 2060 Standard by the Carbon Trust.

Today 30,815 on-site solar panels provide up to 40% of the electricity used at the factory. The introduction of HVO fuels for local traffic has also helped reduce offsetting, while biodiversity has been increased with the introduction of 2,600 plants.

Here at Bentley Cambridge, we have moved our waste and recycling provider to one that wants to play an active role in achieving our objective; and one that will work with the organisation to achieve benchmarks of being designated “carbon neutral” in our waste management. We have also removed all plastic water bottles from our showroom and replaced them with fully recyclable metal cans, as well as installing a water station in our workshop for staff to refill their bottles.

These are just some of many advances made, with much more to come, in the Bentley Beyond100 journey towards a sustainable automotive luxury.

We know we can always do more – that’s why we’re engaging with the wider community and welcome new ideas, big and small. This is a journey we’re all in together.
