The pre-booker ordering window opened on the morning of Wednesday 22 July, and within hours there were many orders being placed for this hugely anticipated new generation model for Volkswagen.
It was amazing news when the team at Cambridge Volkswagen discovered that they had taken the first ever order for an ID.3. This new model represents Volkswagen’s first carbon neutrally produced vehicle as well as being all-electric. Both the team at Cambridge Volkswagen, and at Vindis Group, collectively feel very lucky to have looked after Mr Chalkley the first ever UK customer.
Jenny Riley, Sales Executive and the ID.3 Specialist, at Cambridge Volkswagen was over the moon to have taken the first order, and commented: “I personally wanted to work for Volkswagen specifically because of the upcoming arrival of the ID range, so to be at the forefront of it all is really exciting!

The Volkswagen ID.3 is certainly attracting a lot of attention and all at Cambridge Volkswagen are really looking forward to welcoming more pre-bookers in to the showroom to confirm their colour choices.
First orders of the ID.3 is expected to arrive for delivery in September, and Jenny and the whole Management team are looking forward to handing over the vehicle.
All vehicles that are sold by the Vindis Group are subject to an administrative / preparation fee of £90 inc VAT. For new vehicles this charge covers the cost of mechanically preparing the vehicle for delivery, the administration of new ownership documentation and final preparation for customer handover.
For used vehicles, this charge covers a full history and provenance check prior to being advertised for sale ensuring no financial risk or charge has been levied against the vehicle, that the vehicle has never been written off or stolen and final preparation for customer handover.
