The sleek new Audi A5 Coupe has received a four-star review from Auto Express, who recently took the 2.0 TDI Sport 2017 model out for a test drive.
The new Audi A5 offers sleeker, more muscular styling and a range of driver assistance systems in addition to being one of the latest models to offer the brilliant Virtual Cockpit that displays all the information you need, including navigation and vehicle data, on a high-resolution screen on the driver display.
The Auto Express team took their A5 Sport model out on British roads to test the driving experience it offers, including refinement, handling and comfort and awarded it a brilliant four stars in the process.
The team commented on interior quality, saying “material quality is excellent, and the simple, clean dashboard design is one of the best of any car at this price… In addition, the seats are comfortable and supportive, and the wraparound dash and lower driving position means it feels a bit sportier than the A4 Saloon.”
The new A5 is available in three trims, with a high level of standard equipment no matter which one you choose;
A range of engines are available, with both petrol and diesel in either 6-speed manual or S tronic. Power outputs range from 190 to 252PS.
Auto Express’ final verdict is that the A5 is a smart, efficient vehicle, with a well finished interior and a big boot. We think it makes both a great executive car for the week and a smart family car for the weekend. Of course, if the A5 Coupe doesn’t quite match your needs how about opting for the cabriolet or choosing from one of the powerful S models on offer.
