Following the Volkswagen ID.3 reveal at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, VW have revealed three new versions of the ID. Charger, the main difference being the digital functions they offer. All three being available for order online or at your local Vindis Volkswagen retailer from the end of November.
Before purchasing one of the ID. Chargers you can check free of charge online whether installing the ID. Charger will be straightforward. Not only this, your Volkswagen retailer can also arrange installation and commissioning of the wall box by one of our experts.
The standard version of the chargers is priced from £357 whilst still consistently offering a high-quality charging solution. To enable fast and easy charging Volkswagen have created a simple operation where the type 2 cable and a charging capacity of up to 11kW make home charging very convenient. To suit the ID.3 the ID charger has been designed with modern technology in mind. The compact wall box also features integrated DC fault current protection for maximum safety along with simple, cost-efficient installation.
Making charging digitally smart, the ID. Charger Connect; this wall box can connect with home broadband and your smartphone. With mobile communication, you can view the charging operations and benefit from the extended list of practical functions such as app management, remote maintenance, access control via the charging card and regular software updates. From launch the ID. Charger Connect will join the market from £536.
This is the top model in the wall box series and features an integrated electric meter for precise billing per kWh on top of digital functions and standard equipment. This provides even greater transparency on power requirements, for example enabling a convenient billing process for a company car driver and employer. This spec of the series will be launching from £759.
The first vehicle in this new generation, the ID.3, celebrated its world premiere at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2019. Coinciding with the debut, the brand is offering a complete package for the convenient and sustainable charging of electric vehicles.

All vehicles that are sold by the Vindis Group are subject to an administrative / preparation fee of £90 inc VAT. For new vehicles this charge covers the cost of mechanically preparing the vehicle for delivery, the administration of new ownership documentation and final preparation for customer handover.
For used vehicles, this charge covers a full history and provenance check prior to being advertised for sale ensuring no financial risk or charge has been levied against the vehicle, that the vehicle has never been written off or stolen and final preparation for customer handover.
Vindis Group believe this level of preparation is crucial in ensuring we provide the highest level of customer satisfaction, for which the Vindis Group is renowned for.
For this reason, and in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as of 6.00pm 23/03/2020 we made the decision to temporarily close all Vindis showrooms to members of the public. For those customers that are booked in for Aftersales care, all bookings other than those for Key Workers (as identified by the Government’s latest listings), urgent MOT’s and breakdowns are in the process of being cancelled; and each existing booking will have been confirmed with our team in advance of your visit to site. For other routine service and maintenance items, we will be in touch to re-arrange your booking for as soon as we re-open.
