If you find your love of performance vehicles contrasting with your need for a five-door estate vehicle then Audi's latest reveal could be just the model you've been waiting for.
Ahead of its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017, Audi has revealed the return of an icon, the RS4 Avant and it's fair to say that it is worth the wait.
Beneath the bonnet a 2.9 litre V6 bi-turbo petrol engine offers no less than 450PS and 600Nm of torque, with a 0-62 mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. Opt for the optional RS dynamic package and the top speed is boosted to 174mph.
CEO of Audi Sport GmBH, Stephan Winkelmann said; "The Audi RS4 Avant is our RS icon with an incomparable history. In common with all our RS models, it blends immense power output with superlative everyday utility."
If the power beneath the bonnet wasn't enough to convince you of this model's sport credentials then one look at the exterior should be enough. With motorsport design inspiration, the model features huge air inlets with Audi's RS honeycomb structure and a wide Singleframe grille up front. Optional Matrix LED headlights feature tinted bezels. Look to the rear of the vehicle and you'll discover the RS-only diffuser insert, sporty exhaust pipes and an RS roof spoiler. 19" forged aluminium wheels complete the package, or there's a 20" option should you prefer.
The high-resolution Audi Virtual Cockpit, with RS specific displays, RS sport suspension, and quattro all-wheel-drive arrive as standard on all UK vehicles.
The new RS4 Avant will be available to order in the UK towards the end of September and deliveries are expected to hit our shores in early 2018.
