SEAT have announced that they will be introducing the voice controlled Amazon Alexa into their models as soon as the end of 2017. Arriving as the first European automotive brand to do so, the partnering opens a new world of voice activated, in-car technology meaning that checking schedules, finding songs and locating points of interest has never been easier.
"We're excited for SEAT to incorporate Alexa into its vehicles," said Ned Curic, VP Automotive, Amazon Alexa. "We think voice is a big part of the future and this is particularly true in cars. With just a tap of the steering wheel, SEAT customers will be able to ask Alexa for music, get the news, control their smart home, and much more."
Amazon Alexa will be integrated into Ateca and Leon models from the end of this year, and will arrive in Arona, Ibiza and large SUV models in 2018.
