SEAT’s next new SUV has been named

Following their #SEATseekingName campaign, that began globally in June 2017, the name of the brand’s third SUV has been officially chosen.

The campaign gave the public the chance to have their say in the naming of the new SUV and the criteria were simply; be a Spanish place, be easy to pronounce in any language and ‘reflect the essence of the SEAT brand’.

The new SUV follows place names of previous and current models including; Ronda, Ibiza, Alhambra, Cordoba, Ateca and Arona.

In July last year the most popular names were narrowed down and taken to a vote, and in total the naming campaign gathered over 146,000 votes from 134 countries. With 35.52% of the final vote, the winning name was officially chosen.

Please welcome the new SEAT Tarraco.

The Tarraco will be SEAT’s largest SUV, seating up to seven passengers. It is expected to be launched in the UK towards the end of 2018 so do keep your eyes pealed for more information on this new SUV!
