The new Bentley Bentayga Hybrid offers all the benefits of fun, zero emission electric driving, with the practicalities and extra range of a 3.0 litre petrol engine. It’s the best of both worlds, whilst staying true to Bentley’s stylish design, innovative technologies and ultimate luxury.
With even greater refinement, and the next generation of super high-resolution infotainment system, the new Bentley Bentayga Hybrid provides an unrivalled driving experience. With up to 31 miles of pure electric range (NEDC) and up to 536 miles combined range (NEDC) there’s the job of electric driving in an urban environment, with the added comfort of a 3.0 litre, twin turbocharged V6 petrol engine offering 443bhp and 516 lb ft of torque. Bentley’s research suggests most everyday journeys can be achieved in completely electric driving so you get all the luxury of the Bentayga, from a brand truly committed to the future of sustainable driving.
The charging point is located on the left side of the vehicle, opposite the fuel cap and the battery can be charged at speeds of up to 7.2kW/h. This enables it to be fully charged in as little as 2.5 hours. Once in electric mode, the electric motor provides full torque instantly; it’s silent, rapid and incredibly engaging.
The Bentayga Hybrid starts in EV Mode to enhance the experience, but offers Hybrid and Hold mode too. In Hold mode, the battery charge is reserved for later in the journey, so you can maximise your electric driving when it’s right for you. Those pure electric miles are covered in the complete serenity of the acoustically-isolated cabin, whilst outside a speaker puts out a noise at low speeds to alert pedestrians around you, for complete safety. An extra clever feature is offered through feedback from the accelerator pedal in EV Mode which highlights the boundary between electric and hybrid driving, but this can be disabled should you desire.
A fresh design complements the Bentayga range, whilst the latest on-board technology makes this one of the most modern Bentleys on the market. The infotainment system offers edge-to-edge graphics and can be personalized to the driver, whilst increased connectivity is now as standard. USB-C data ports and wireless phone charging can be found, and the embedded SIM offers full connectivity to remove the need for a customer data connection. Wireless apple car play and android auto complete the package. Outside, the new full-width tailgate encompasses the stylish lights and you’ll notice the registration plate has been lowered to make space for prominent Bentley lettering. The Blackline Specification can be chosen to replace all chrome with black for a truly sporty, stand out look. Inside, perhaps you’ll spec the dark tint diamond brushed aluminium trim, available for the first time, or instead opt for one of the two new veneer options; Koa or Crown Cut Walnut.
The Hybrid follows the release of the Bentayga V8 and Bentayga Speed, in what is one of the most successful SUVs in its segment. For more information on the Bentayga Hybrid, please speak to a member of the team at Bentley Cambridge. We’re still available remotely, and are happy to help.
