Receiving its world premiere at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show the ŠKODA VISION X concept shows off the latest in hybrid vehicles from the Czech brand.
The VISION X would also be the first vehicle in the brand’s history to be powered by an electric motor alongside a petrol and CNG (compressed natural gas) engine which allows for ultra-low emission driving over a traditional hybrid drive train. The CNG system delivers a 130PS power output and a maximum torque of 200Nm.
With sharp styling lines and triangular styling features the VISION X concept builds on the existing SUV styling to create something both futuristic yet instantly recognisable as a ŠKODA SUV.
"The design of the ŠKODA VISION X expresses a zest for life and enthusiasm for an active urban lifestyle" commented Oliver Stefani, Head of Design.
Electrification of the existing range will begin as early as next year with the introduction of the ŠKODA Superb plug-in hybrid. Following this we expect to welcome the arrival of their first fully electric vehicle.
