Following the success of the brilliant, compact Volkswagen T-Roc, which arrived with us in 2017, Volkswagen announced the release of a hot version of the crossover to top the range.
Premiering at the Geneva Motor Show, the T-Roc R shows off impressive performance, a sporty design and the same practicality as the rest of range, for those who need the sensibility of a crossover whilst enjoying the thrill of Volkswagen’s popular ‘R’ models. With the R badge standing for ‘Racing’ you can rest assured that the new T-Roc R has been tested to the limits at the Nürburgring. It will feature a newly designed front and rear end, in addition to 300PS and 400Nm of torque, giving the T-Roc R a 0-62 time of 4.9 seconds. Featuring 4MOTION all-wheel drive for exceptional grip and driveability, there’s also a DSG automatic gearbox as standard for lightning fast gear changes.
The vehicle sits on sporty 19” alloy wheels finished in Dark Graphite and the R-performance, double-ended titanium exhaust system comes courtesy of Akrapovic. There are no less than eight stylish colour options, all of which can be matched to a contrasting black roof for an eye-catching look.
