It’s been another impressive year for our model ranges as once again the What Car? awards come around to remind us just how lucky we are to represent these wonderful brands. There are winners across a wide-range of categories, meaning whether you want something for the family, something sporty, or even something for all the tough jobs, we’ve got something to offer.
Best Small Car
The Volkswagen Polo SE has been crowned What Car?’s Best Small Car, thanks not only to its modern technology but its comfortable, spacious interior. The judges praised its precise steering and nimble handling, in addition to complementing its infotainment system, describing it as one of the best around. We’re big fans of the little Polo, it’s the perfect package for lots of drivers. Why not visit your local Vindis Volkswagen retailer and book yourself a test drive?
Best Family Car
We’re pleased to announce the ŠKODA Scala SE has been chosen as the winner in the Best Family Car category, as it’s a fairly new model here at Vindis ŠKODA. Showing off the brand’s sharp looks, in addition to its interior space and headroom, the Scala is well priced, comfortable and boasts some impressive running costs, thanks to its modern engines. The Scala is a great addition to the ŠKODA range, and if you’re a fan of the Fabia, why not take this model into consideration too?
Best Luxury SUV
The Audi Q7 S line is one of the brand’s largest, and most luxurious models. It won this category for its hot-hatch acceleration, limo-like luxury and saloon handling. It’s big enough for the whole family too, whilst offering a super comfortable driving experience, and the latest technology to keep journey’s fun, passengers safe and parking easy. If you’re in the market for your next luxury SUV, the Audi Q7 is certainly one to consider.
Best Estate Car
The Best Estate category was won by the ŠKODA Superb Estate SE Technology, which narrowly beat the slightly smaller Fabia Estate to first place. This fantastic all-rounder has taken gold in this category for the fifth time in a row, meaning there’s little else on the market that offers the quite the package that this car does. ŠKODA’s value-for-money offerings provide the very best cars, without sacrificing the comfort and space of top-end models and the proof is in ŠKODA’s awards cabinet. This Superb Estate is described by What Car? as ‘the go-to option for mile-munchers and load-luggers alike.’ Check out the ŠKODA Superb Estate at Vindis ŠKODA Cambridge or Vindis ŠKODA Bury St. Edmunds.
It wouldn’t be an award-winning Coupé if it wasn’t the iconic Audi TT. Once again, the TT has beaten the competition to first place at the What Car? awards, in a category that it has dominated throughout the award’s history. This latest model is a ‘sharper, sportier option that the BMW 2 Series’ and the team described the TT as ‘nimbler and more precise’ and ‘exquisitely put together.’ The 194bhp, 2.0 litre engine was the team’s favourite for putting a smile on your face, maybe our Vindis Audi centres can help put one on yours too?
In the Best Pick-Up category, the Volkswagen Amarok 4Motion Trendline took gold, as the team searched for, amongst other requirements, the best model offering go-anywhere capability, a work-ready load bay and a robust, yet pleasant interior. What puts the Amarok ahead of the crowd is its class-leading ride and fantastic engine choices; ‘Volkswagen’s smooth, punchy 3.0litre diesel V6 is hugely impressive compared with the more agricultural units offered by most rivals.’
