At Vindis Volkswagen we want you to feel confident about the quality of service you’ll receive every time you visit us. In order to make sure this is the case we abide by a set of standards set by Volkswagen, it’s called the ‘Volkswagen Service Promise’ and it is made up of a set of twelve promises which are all designed with you in mind. They aim to help you manage the cost of maintaining your Volkswagen. What's more, when you come to us you'll be getting something you can't get anywhere else: the official Volkswagen stamp in your service book.
1. No one knows your Volkswagen better than we do
We promise that our Volkswagen experts receive the latest Volkswagen training and have instant access to Volkswagen tooling and Volkswagen technology. Because we love your car as much as you do.
2. We'll match any like-for-like quote within 5 miles
We promise to match any like-for-like written quote for service, maintenance and repair using Volkswagen Genuine Parts ® from any garage within 5 miles. It's that simple.
3. Volkswagen lifetime brakes
Have a set of brake pads fitted by us and we'll replace them whenever they wear out, at no extra cost, for as long as you own the car. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.
4. MOT Insurance
We promise that, if you have your MOT carried out by us we will give you cover for up to £750 if your car fails when we carry out its next MOT*. *Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers.
5. We offer 'real' value for money
We promise to offer you the right service at the right time; charging Volkswagen set times for all work and offering a 2-year parts and labour warranty on parts fitted after the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. *excludes wear and tear items
6. Ad Blue Top Up
We promise that, if you require your ad blue topping up, we will do so for £1.50 per litre including labour and VAT. There is no need to book in, just come along to your local retailer.
7. We'll fit exterior bulbs and wiper blades
We promise to fit wiper blades and exterior bulbs bought from us at no extra charge. We'll replace all exterior bulbs, including sidelights, headlights, brakelights, foglights and reverse and indicator bulbs. If you need interior, Xenon or LED lights replacing, just ask and we'll provide a competitive quote for fitting those, too.
8. A range of convenience services to suit your needs
We promise to help you get on your with life. You can take a courtesy car; we can pick you up and drop your car back to you or even give you a lift into work, home or town. Just tell us which you'd prefer and we'll sort it out.
9. We offer visual health checks
We promise to give your car a 34 point check of the basics, at no extra cost and with no obligation. Call and ask us to book you in for an Express Visual Check (EVC) and we'll arrange it for you.
10. Road test with a technician if required
We promise that if you want to demonstrate your concern face-to-face with one of our technicians, you can. Just ask and we'll arrange for one to be available for you: because sometimes it's easier to show than tell.
11. Car wash and vacuum
We promise that every time you come to us for any job that takes over an hour in our workshop, we'll wash and vacuum your car at no extra cost; if the job takes less than an hour but you'd still it cleaned, just let us know and we'll do that at no extra charge, too.
12. We offer service plans
We promise to offer a convenient payment plan to cover your servicing. Our 'Retailer' Service plans are tailored to your vehicle and packed with extra benefits.
All vehicles that are sold by the Vindis Group are subject to an administrative / preparation fee of £90 inc VAT. For new vehicles this charge covers the cost of mechanically preparing the vehicle for delivery, the administration of new ownership documentation and final preparation for customer handover.
For used vehicles, this charge covers a full history and provenance check prior to being advertised for sale ensuring no financial risk or charge has been levied against the vehicle, that the vehicle has never been written off or stolen and final preparation for customer handover.
Vindis Group believe this level of preparation is crucial in ensuring we provide the highest level of customer satisfaction, for which the Vindis Group is renowned for.
For this reason, and in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as of 6.00pm 23/03/2020 we made the decision to temporarily close all Vindis showrooms to members of the public. Whist we know this may cause some disappointment, our priority is to protect the well-being of our employees and customers in line with the latest Government guidance. For customers due to take delivery of your new vehicle we will be in contact and will aim to complete your transaction in a safe and compliant manner.
For those customers that are booked in for Aftersales care, all bookings other than those for Key Workers (as identified by the Government’s latest listings), urgent MOT’s and breakdowns are in the process of being cancelled; and each existing booking will have been confirmed with our team in advance of your visit to site. For other routine service and maintenance items, we will be in touch to re-arrange your booking for as soon as we re-open.
In order to facilitate the above, we have opened selected workshops to conduct this work, and all other dealerships are completely closed:
Huntingdon Volkswagen remains open and will conduct service work for Peterborough Audi, Huntingdon Audi and Huntingdon Van Centre Vindis Cambridge Service Centre remains open and will also conduct service work for Cambridge Volkswagen, SKODA Cambridge, SKODA Bury St. Edmunds, Fakenham Volkswagen and Cambridge Audi Bedford Audi remains open and will also conduct work for Bedford Volkswagen and Milton Keynes SEAT Northampton Van Centre remains open and will conduct work also for Northampton Audi and Milton Keynes SEAT
In order to protect both you and our staff, upon arrival, please follow the instructions on the door in order to gain access. Additionally, it is vital that we ask that you do not attend any of our sites without having had a clear and specific communication that you qualify under one of the above guidelines, and we thank you in advance for complying with this difficult and possibly disruptive decision. Please also note that we have amended our service opening hours during this period to 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday and closed during weekends.
Finally, although our showrooms are closed, should you wish to contact us we would be delighted to help you remotely in anyway possible; the best methods in which to contact us is either via email or through the live chat function found on our main Vindis Group website.
